The QSCAN project is a 3-years search project, which will engineer a a quantum-enabled secure-multiparty computation (SMC) service that will be implemented for conjunction analysis.
The Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) is a private, not-for-profit organization, of public interest, a partnership of nine institutions with research and development in the field of Telecommunications IT mission is to create and disseminate scientific knowledge in the field of telecommunications. IT is actively involved in fundamental and applied research both at national and international levels. Simultaneously it is committed to foster higher education and training, by hosting and tutoring graduate and postgraduate students. it also plays its role towards public society with public awareness initiatives, knowledge transfer to industry, and by providing consulting services on a non-competing basis.

AIT has a long history of leading and participating in projects targeting quantum-resistant communication based o n both quantum key distribution and post-quantum secure cryptography. Notably, AIT is project lead of OpenQKD providing a testbed for quantum communication in Europe and QCI-CAT which aims to deploy quantum communication infrastructure in Austria. Furthermore, AIT contributes key management systems and quantum post-processing software to various projects focusing European quantum communication infrastructure and networks for Defence such as DISCRETION, eCAUSIS and QUARTER. AIT also contributed to a selection of projects focusing on cryptographic schemes and protocols for secure computation on privacy-sensitive and confidential data including secure multiparty computation protocols. Notably, AIT was a partner of the H2020 project KRAKEN building a data marketplace for privacy-sensitive data based on SMC.

DEIMOS providing turn-key, the Portuguese SST network for Portuguese Minister of Defence. The project includes the design and implementation of the complete SST system, implementation of the optical site observatory, 4 optical telescopes for surveillance and tracking, the command and control centre, plus all the tools, training and systems for providing a broad range of SSA services, SST, Space Weather and NEOs. Also, it will be synergic with DISCRETION, a EDIDP activity led by DEIMOS and with IT as main partner to develop a SDN enabled quantum network for European Defence. This project is led by Portugal in collaboration with Spain, Austria and Italy. In this project QKD links using continuous variables QKD will be developed in Portugal.
