Work Packages

QSCAN project starts on March 1^st 2024 and is going to end on February 28^th 2027. The project is composed by 5 work packages (WP):

• WP1 Project Management
  • Administrative, financial, and contractual management;
  • Information flow and reporting;
  • Assessment of risks and decision of risk-mitigation measures.
• WP2 Oblivious transfer protocol design and its implementation with quantum continuous variables
  • Design of QOKD protocol using continuous variables quantum states;
  • Security and performance analysis of the quantum protocols;
  • Laboratory implementation.
• WP3 Design and implementation of a SMC service
  • Space Surveillance Tracking data-sharing service and algorithm;
  • Design of a generic SMC framework;
  • Design of software interfaces for the SMC application;
  • Implementation of the key management layer.
• WP4 System integration and demonstration
  • Integration of laboratory hardware and SMC algorithms into a unique platform;
  • Security assessment of the SMC service;
  • Use cases and practical demonstration of the quantum-enabled SMC application.
• WP5 Project results dissemination and Exploitation
  • Dissemination and Exploitation;
  • Communication activities.

• First QSCAN demonstration!

QSCAN’s secure computation service was showcased during the demonstration of the Portuguese Quantum Communications Infrastructure (PQCI) project. The service demonstrated the end-to-end feasibility of quantum-generating, distributing, and consuming oblivious keys to enable relevant secure computation services.
