QSCAN is a research project focus on the development of Quantum-Enabled Secure Multiparty Computation solutions for conjunction analysis. This project will develop novel privacy-preserving cryptographic protocols which in future will replace the need for sharing agreements and allow to securely computing a probability of collision between space objects without disclosing to other party its own inputs. The consortium of this project is composed by the Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) from Portugal, and the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT). The project also include an End-USER DEIMOS.

To solve the privacy issues related to usage of third-party data and taking advantage of access to telescopes that allow getting observational data, a quantum-enabled secure-multiparty computation (SMC) protocol will be implemented for conjunction analysis in this project. This protocol will replace the need for sharing agreements and allow to securely computing a probability of collision between space objects without disclosing to other party its own inputs. The implementation of the quantum-enabled SMC protocol requires the generation and distribution of oblivious keys, which will be achieved through a quantum oblivious key distribution protocol. The developed technology will be demonstrated in the Portuguese Quantum Infrastructure.
